The Milavići Cemetery is a communal burial site located in the municipality of Bileća, Republika Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina. It serves the nearby villages of Strupići and Kljenci. This modern cemetery has roots that stretch back to ancient times. The central area of the cemetery is situated on slightly elevated ground, indicating that it may have developed from a prehistoric barrow. During the medieval period, the cemetery became a final resting place for a larger community, as evidenced by the 352 stećci tombstones still preserved today, along with several burials that lack markers but maintain a designated space between the tombstones. After conducting initial surveys of the cemetery, which measures approximately 113 meters by 120 meters, we identified two excavation areas:
Given that this cemetery is also referred to by the toponym Crkvine, we reasonably anticipated discovering the remains of a medieval church.
